Baptism Sunday

Baptism is a beautiful picture of the gospel and an important step of obedience for every follower of Jesus Christ. While baptism does not save us, it serves as a public declaration that we have placed our faith in Christ, identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3–4). Through baptism, believers joyfully proclaim that their old life has passed away and that they have been made new in Christ.

This year, our church family will be celebrating Baptism Sunday with a special weekend camping trip at Delaware State Park. The festivities will begin on Saturday, August 29, with a weekend of fellowship, campfires, food, games, and time together as a church family.

The weekend will culminate on Sunday, August 30, as we gather at Delaware Lake to worship together and celebrate baptisms. There is nothing quite like witnessing brothers and sisters publicly profess their faith in Christ surrounded by their church family in the beauty of God's creation.

Whether you plan to camp for the weekend or simply join us for Sunday's celebration, we invite you to come and celebrate God's saving grace with us. If you are interested in being baptized, please contact pastor Maykell, Jason Comstock or Michael Ferrar. We would love to talk with you about taking this important next step in your walk with Christ.
