Pastor Maykell Araica serves as the Lead Pastor of Watkins Community Church. His greatest passion is faithfully preaching God's Word, making disciples, and helping people grow into mature followers of Jesus Christ.

Originally from Nicaragua, Maykell has spent years serving in ministry, teaching the Bible, mentoring young believers, and equipping the local church. He is committed to expository preaching, biblical discipleship, and cultivating a church culture that is centered on the gospel, grounded in Scripture, and marked by genuine love for God and others.

Alongside his ministry, Maykell coaches youth soccer for many years, seeing it as another opportunity to invest in the lives of young people and their families. He believes some of the most meaningful ministry happens outside the church walls through authentic relationships and faithful presence in the community.

Maykell and his wife, Tam, are grateful to call Watkins Community Church home. Together with their family, they are excited to serve the congregation and the surrounding community, praying that many would come to know Christ and grow in Him for years to come.
